I used a handyman for several years. I found out the hard way that he does not carry insurance when he used a wrong sized fitting to install a faucet and caused a flood in my home. Yet he freely works on plumbing and electricity all over the city of Atlanta. He subcontracts to several contractors but I don’t know their names. He subcontracted to the contractor I used recently to remodel my kitchen and now I know why they used him for odd jobs but not plumbing and electricity. Anyway, he refused to take care of the damage he caused and walked, leaving me responsible for replacing a wood floor and damaged carpeting. The little he fixed was done in a shoddy, hurried way.
